Bootown's 40k Tournament IWarhammer 40k1000 Point2023-08-2609:30:00We will be running this as a proper Warhammer 40k tournament, so what players need to know:
- 1000 point lists- Painted models is not required, but is strongly encouraged as there is
a prize for Best Painted army
- Participants will vote on Best Painted army
- NO LEGENDS DATASHEETS ARE PERMITTED
- Conversions are encouraged, but the model should accurately represent
what the model is equipped with
- WYSIWYG is being enforced
- All games will be played on a 4'×4' mat
- Players will be able to use gambit cards
- All rounds, players will use TACTICAL OBJECTIVES
- A copy of FIXED OBJECTIVES will be at each table for players to
reference and select
- All terrain will be placed PRIOR to the beginning of the tournament
-The tournament will consist of 4, 1 hour 45 minute rounds
- The tournament will begin with doors opening at 0930.
- 0945 there will be a brief discussion on fair play and housekeeping
items
- Lunch will take place AFTER round 1, and will be 1 hour long.
- First round begins at 1000 sharp
- Players will have a 15 minute "Grace Period" to do setup and army
explanation to their opponents. Any player found to be deliberately
abusing this "Grace Period" will be penalized on their overall score.
- The "Grace Period" is not part of the total 1h and 45 m Players will
have to complete their match
- If an opponent has not shown up to the table by the end of the 15
minute "Grace Period", they will receive a 5 minute warning. If they
still have not made it to their match after the 5 minute warning, then
the player will be awarded a loss on the record with their opponent
receiving full primary and secondary points
- Players will use Best Coast Pairing for submitting scores
- Players are permitted to use apps like Tabletop Battles to record the
progress of their round with their opponent.1st - 50% of entrance in store credit.
2nd - 25% of entrance in store credit.
3rd - 25% of entrance in store credit.

''Near Mint (NM)'
Near Mint condition cards show minimal or no wear from play or handling and will have an unmarked surface, crisp corners, and otherwise pristine edges outside of minimal handling. Near Mint condition cards appear 'fresh out of the pack,' with edges and surfaces virtually free from all flaws. '

''Lightly Played (LP)'
Lightly Played condition cards can have slight border or corner wear, or possibly minor scratches. No major defects are present, and there are less than 4 total flaws on the card. Lightly Played condition foils may have slight fading or indications of wear on the card face. '
'
''Moderately Played (MP)'
Moderately Played condition cards have moderate wear, or flaws apparent to the naked eye. Moderately Played condition cards can show moderate border wear, mild corner wear, water damage, scratches , creases or fading, light dirt buildup, or any combination of these defects. '
'
''Heavily Played (HP)'
Heavily Played condition cards exhibit signs of heavy wear. Heavily Played condition cards may include cards that have significant creasing, folding, severe water damage, heavy whitening, heavy border wear, and /or tearing. '
''
''Damaged (D)'
Damaged condition cards show obvious tears, bends, or creases that could make the card illegal for tournament play, even when sleeved. Damaged condition cards have massive border wear, possible writing or major inking (ex. white-bordered cards with black-markered front borders), massive corner wear, prevalent scratching, folds, creases or tears. '
